| Askos handle |
| This is the handle of a wine jug called an askos. It is skilfully made and decorated with the face of Bacchus, the god of wine. A similar example of an askos was found at Pompeii. |

| This stud is made from cast bronze, and is a model of the head of Medusa. It may have been a fitting on a small box, perhaps a jewellery box. |

| This part of a samian dish shows the winged god, Mercury. He was known as the messenger of the gods, but was also the god of commerce, and very popular in Britain! |

| This is part of a type of vase which is not often found in Britain. It is called a face vase because of its decoration. Most face vases came from Germany, and often had inscriptions on them. They were probably used as religious offerings. |
