Boar figurine
This bronze boar is one of many examples found in Sussex. They may have had religious significance. Boar hunting was a very popular sport, and boars’ teeth have been found on archaeological sites in Sussex, indicating that hunting was often successful.

Bronze stag
This finely made stag, about 170mm tall, is a very rare find. Its eye sockets may once have contained glass or gemstone ‘eyes’. It was probably a religious object from a shrine.

Dolphin mosaic
Dolphins often appear on mosaic floors. They were symbols of good luck, and also with other marine creatures were part of Neptune’s procession (thiassos)

Brooch
This brooch shows a dog or hare, and has been enamelled.
