Bognor Regis (North Bersted)

A small Iron Age agricultural settlement lying on a peninsula in the coastal plain. It consisted of a series of drainage ditches, a circular hut (c.6 m dia.), and domestic debris, with occupation dating from the 3rd to late 1st century BC. The site then seems to have been deliberately cleared, unlike many other sites in the area, which show signs of occupations into the Roman period (see Bersted).
