Museum Battle Museum of Local History
Previous Page Bexhill

This museum accounts for the history of the town and region since the Battle of Hastings. There is an interesting display of local artefacts ranging from a Bayeux Tapestry print and a 1066 model battle scene to a facsimile Domesday book and Iguanodon footprints! The Romano-British collection includes many interesting objects from the river port at Bodiam in addition to some material from local ironworking sites.
