Teachers Information - Overview of the Site and its aims
The 'Romans in Sussex website' is a unique resource enabling users to access databases of objects and sites in Sussex relating to the late Iron Age (c.100BC-AD43), the Roman and the early Saxon periods.
Pupils can use primary evidence to find out about various aspects of life during this period, drawing on images and descriptions of objects from museums and collections from all over Sussex. Many of the artefacts are not on public display, or even published, and so are available here for the first time, through the willing co-operation of many contributors throughout the county.
